How to use this calculator?

Well, in the calculator, you have to simply input some values, like the number that you want to check, and the other input would be the number, that you are checking the divisibility with. For example, if you are checking whether 1728 is divisible by 8, then your first input is supposed to be 1728, and the other input would be 8.

Why do we perform a divisibility test?

When we want to check whether or not some number is divisible by another number, without leaving any remainder(0 remainders). For example, if we are checking whether or not 1728 is divisible by 8, we check whether or not the remainder is zero when we divide 1728 by 8. In this case, we find that the remainder is zero, so we can conclude that the number 1728 is divisible by 8.

On the other hand, if we check whether 122 is divisible by 3, we will find that the remainder is not zero in this case. So, we can conclude that 122 is not divisible by 3.

Here are some things, that you have to make note of –

• The dividend should be greater than the divisor.
• The divisor is the denominator, and the dividend is the numerator.
• The divisor should not be equal to zero.
• If the number is divisible, you get the quotient. If the number is not divisible by another number, then it is displayed accordingly.
