Essay on Importance of School Uniform for Students
The accountability and credibility of an educational institution depend on the feeling of unity among the students. Uniforms help to develop the spirit of unity among the students. In school students of different strata of society study together. If we allow them to wear any dress of their choice then rich students will wear expensive dresses and poor students will wear simple less expensive dresses this may develop superiority and inferiority complex in students.
Hence the feeling of unity cannot develop among the student. It is commonly observed that in colleges where there is no dress code students are very indisciplined they just try to impress others with their looks and dress. Colleges are becoming fashion shows and students don’t give importance to study.
School and colleges are not for impressing others with your fashionable clothes but they are for impressing others with your knowledge and discipline. Students do not realize these especially teenage students because they are in the phase of transition from childhood to adulthood.

One common problem with uniforms is that some schools give students very expensive uniforms and the quality of cloth is very poor. They tear easily and students have to again buy a new uniform.
It is not a problem to reach students but it is a very big problem for poor students. We personally think that government should provide both government and private school the good quality of cloth for making uniform free of cost.
Each school should have a different uniform. Uniforms should be simple and sober it should not be very colorful and fashion-oriented. Uniforms should be designed in such a way that both male and female students are comfortable with them.

Students often complain that our school uniform is too traditional our cousin makes fun of us when we wear it. The School uniform should be attractive but formal. The teacher should advise the student to clean and wash their uniform by themselves after two days. The student should be given two pairs of uniforms so that proper hygiene should be maintained.
The student should be given one special uniform for Saturday morning schools. The uniform should be loose so that students can do different exercises in them freely and comfortably. Wearing a white uniform on Saturday just change the way teacher and student look at each other it gives us the feeling of peace.
The management of the school should be very careful while deciding the colour of the uniform. Psychological research shows that different colors create different feelings in our minds.
